Heavy snowfall has blocked roads between districts and Chaghcharan, the provincial capital, creating problems in transporting ballot boxes to the capital of western Ghor province, according to officials with the Afghanistan Natural Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA)..

Up to 50 cm (19¾ inches) of snow was recorded in Lal Sarjangal, Dolina and Shahrak districts, Hamidullah Dadfar told Pajhwok Afghan News.

This latest snowfall in Ghor is a record in the past decade.
