A high-level eruption of Indonesian Sinabung volcano on December 14, 2014
has been reported by the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC).
The Aviation Color Code, briefly set to Red, was later downgraded to Orange as the eruption became less active.
The volcanic ash cloud reached an altitude of approximately 6 km (3.6 miles), and was extending 18 km (10.8 miles) to the NW.
A large pyroclastic flow, approximately 4.5 km (2.7 miles), was observed coming down the volcano yesterday.
