Half a meter (19 inches) of snow fell in Prizen, while Pristina saw 15 cm (6 inches).
On the coldest day of the of the year, occasional power outages due to heavy snowfall took place in the capital Pristina. The city of Kačanik remained without electricity for about 24 hours.
Since morning, snowfall has had a negative impact on traffic in the majority of Kosovo.
Kosovo traffic police spokesman Brahim Sadriu, said heavy snowfall and icing resulted in traffic accidents in which four people were killed.
On the Sadriu Pristina – Prizren highway, transportation is so difficult that heavy vehicles are restricted from travelling.
On Monday, the temperature dropped to minus 20 degrees C (-4 F).
