Snow totals for western and central parts of Turkey and down to the city of Jerusalem
will generally be on the order of 2 to 8 cm (1 to 2 inches) this weekend. This includes in Ankara.
Locally higher amounts are expected in the Koroglu Mountains, north of Ankara.
Substantial accumulations are expected in parts of Damascus, while AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Anthony Sagliani anticipates 5-10 cm (2-4 inches) of fresh snow in the higher elevations of Jerusalem.
