Spain – Spring snow blocks roads

Snow is causing havoc across Spain,

says reader George Martinez.

Snow has been snow falling across the country, prompting extreme weather warnings in 18 provinces.

Small roads are blocked as temperatures continue to hover around freezing.

“The ice age would also begin within continents, says George. “The large land mass cannot retain the heat as does the ocean. Plus, high altitude equals colder temperatures. As the average temperature falls, the mountains would retain the snows for longer and longer, eventually becoming glaciers.”
