Will bring the greatest disruptions to travel and daily activities so far this winter, says Accuweather.com.
“Significant” snow is forecast from Boston to Providence to Hartford, to Portland, Maine, Concord, New Hampshire, Rutland, Vermont, and Albany and Poughkeepsie, New York.
These areas can expect 6 to 12 inches of snow with locally higher amounts, especially around Boston and across the Berkshires.
Those areas already struggling with up to several feet of snow, both on the ground and on their roofs, will need to prepare and make room for additional snow.
Areas as far south as northern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, the lower Hudson Valley of New York and southern Connecticut could see up to a few inches of snow.
Accuweather expects a major blast of arctic air to sweep from the Midwest to the East late in the week.
