The reason for the states of emergency declarations is the lack of the roads there, and intermittent electricity.
During the last three days Bulgarian army soldiers have helped the population in the Rhodope Mountains due to heavy snow.
Troops have been helping people in distress on the roads, helped in clearing roads, and providing access for emergency services to restore power to affected areas, mainly in the districts of Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Plovdiv and Pazardzhik.
The military in Smolyan is prepared to provide more troops and trucks for transporting foodstuffs to the municipality.
Troops of the 61st Stryamska Mechanized Brigade in Karlovo will assist residents of the villages Monastery, Luki, District Plovdiv, which are snowed in for the fifth day.
