Blizzard warnings continue for the Churchill and York regions.
“A major low pressure system over northern Hudson Bay has brought very cold Arctic air back to northeastern Manitoba. Strong northwest winds ushered in the change, and brought blizzard conditions to Churchill Sunday afternoon which persisted into the overnight hours.
NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR
Blizzard warnings continue for the Bay of Exploits, Bonavista North, Buchans and the interior, Burgeo – Ramea, Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity, Gander and vicinity, Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity, Green Bay – White Bay AND Terra Nova regions.
NUNAVUT
Blizzard warnings continue for the Arviat, Baker Lake, Chesterfield Inlet, Rankin Region including Whale Cove and Repulse Bay regions.
Blizzard warnings continue for the Cambridge Bay, Gjoa Haven, Grise Fiord, Kugaaruk, Resolute and Taloyoak regions.
“Widespread blizzard conditions continue in the Arctic due to strong northwesterly winds. Conditions at Grise Fiord and Kugaaruk are expected to improve overnight. Gjoa Haven Taloyoak and Resolute are expected to improve Tuesday afternoon and Cambridge Bay is expected to improve early Wednesday morning.”
QUEBEC
Blizzard warnings continue for the Akulivik, Inukjuak, Ivujivik, Puvirnituq and Salluit regions.
“A major low over Hudson Bay is giving high westerly winds that will become southerly this evening as well as fresh snow, resulting in blizzard conditions over these areas. Conditions will gradually improve overnight in some regions.”
