Sunday, March 22, 2015 – In the heights of Almtalala and Mount Khan and Alwastany, the snow reached 20 cm (8 inches) deep. This led to the siege of thousands of cattle on farms scattered in those areas, and dozens of goats were killed in the villages of Rashaya (Lebanon) by the snow and low temperatures.

In Rashaya Shawki al-Hajj, snow fell over mountainous areas above 1,100 meters (3400 feet), covering the ground with a white crust between 3-5 centimeters deep, especially in the villages of Ein Atta , Yanta, Deir Ashayer, to Baia, Mivon, Sultan Yacoub, BCAA, Ain Arab. The snow quickly melted.

The Mount Hermon Heights (2814) and other high locations, including the sites of international separation between Syria and the occupying forces (UNDOF), saw further accumulations on top of the snow which already measured five meters (more than 16 feet) deep. On some slopes hidden from the sun, the snow stood about eight meters (more than 26 feet) deep.
