Unusual late April snow in Romania

Trees are supposed to be green by now.

In Harghita County it snowed for almost two hours, as if it were the middle of winter.

Snow covered the roads, so workers again pulled out plows and spread slip material (sand? salt?) on the roads.

Those drivers who had already changed their winter tires were simply forced to drive on the snow.

Locals say that for 20 years has not snowed in April, except on the high ridges.
