The mercury dipped to 47 degrees this morning at Denver International Airport, sett a record low for Aug. 19. The previous record of 48 was set three times, in 2002, 1967 and 1960.
“It’s just going to be a nice, pleasant, Autumn-like day,” said Eric Thaler, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Boulder.
“A nice, pleasant Autumn-like day” … except that autumn does not begin until September 23.
Denver also tied a record low of 47 degrees on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, snow could be seen along Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park this morning (Aug. 19, 2015).
