Russia – “Uncharacteristic early” snow – Urals dressed in white

A white blanket has covered most of the territory of Yakutia and Magadan region, in some places reaching 30 cm (12 inches) in depth.

Western Siberia is covered by snow in most areas. In the south, the snow depth is substantially greater than 5 cm, but in the north, in the Yamal-Nenets district, snow cover is more than 20 cm in some places.

Uncharacteristic early dressed in white Urals

After a heavy snowfall the end of the first week of October, in the west of the Sverdlovsk Region the snow cover in some places more than 30 cm, while in many areas of the Perm region the snow reaches 18 to 25 cm, and the South Urals is covered with snow.

Most of the Komi Republic is closed by snow, in some places the snow depth reaches 30 cm. In the east of the Nenets Autonomous District of snow cover reached 10-15 cm.
