A so-called atmospheric river, or “Pineapple Express”, unleashed 6 to 12 inches (15 to 30 cm) of rain on some areas over the weekend while dumping almost five feet of snow on the Sierra Nevada.
Up to 59 inches (150 cm) of snow was reported at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort March 5-7, 2016. Squaw Valley saw 48 inches of snow and Alpine Meadows Ski Resort picked up 41 inches of snow during the same three-day period.
More snow is on the way.

“Interestingly enough, in the same article they’re saying “this is a long-term outlook and there’s the chance for inaccuracy because it extends out two weeks” but will push the warmist meme all the time about what the world will be like in 100 years,” says H.B. “Wish I could archive the entire web page because The Weather Channel is horrible at keeping this kind of information available for long (i.e. no year/month/day archives).”
