“Winter Will Rudely Interrupt Summer Across the Northern Rockies This Weekend,” reads the headline on wunderground.com.
“Summer weather will give away to winter-like conditions as the higher elevations of western Montana and northwest Wyoming.”
Summer will take a brief hiatus across the northwestern United States into early this week, agree meteorologists at AccuWeather.com.
The jet stream will dive southward bringing the possibility of snow showers as low as 8,000 feet in the Washington and Oregon Cascades, the Bitterroots and Yellowstone National Park.
