“If you are a herd boy who was born sometime since 1996, you would not have encountered such an extreme snowfall.” “You wouldn’t be accustomed to it or prepared.”  said Stefan Grab, a professor at the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).

The heaviest snow in two decades blanketed Lesotho in late July 2016.

Lesotho is a hilly, landlocked kingdom surrounded on all sides by South Africa. It is comparable to Maryland in size.
