Winter storm warning for Bay of Exploits

Heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow are expected to develop today or tonight. Snowfall accumulations ranging between 15 and 40 centimetres (5.9″ to 15.7″) expected by Thursday morning.

In addition, strong southeasterly winds gusting up to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) will develop ahead of the storm and shift to strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 110 km/h (68.4 mph) overnight. The fresh snowfall and strong winds will cause poor visibilities in blowing snow.

Nova Scotia

Up to 25 centimetres (9.8″) of snow expected today.

In addition Les Suetes winds gusting to 130 km/h (80.8 mph) are forecast this afternoon as the low approaches Cape Breton.
