A VIGOROUS FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW TO THE MOUNTAINS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING…

WEST SLOPES NORTHERN CASCADES AND PASSES  WEST SLOPES CENTRAL CASCADES AND PASSES-

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 AM THURSDAY…

SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS… MOUNT BAKER… STEVENS PASS…   SNOQUALMIE PASS… WHITE PASS… AND PARADISE AT MOUNT RAINIER.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…A FOOT OR MORE EXPECTED AT THE PASSES. 2 TO 3 FEET OF SNOW COULD FALL ALONG SOUTH AND WEST FACING SLOPES OF THE VOLCANOES.

MAIN IMPACT…WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.

SNOW LEVEL…NEAR 3000 FEET FALLING TO 1500 FEET LATE WEDNESDAY. SNOW LEVEL MAY BRIEFLY RISE ABOVE 4000 FEET OVER THE CENTRAL CASCADES FOR A TIME LATE TONIGHT AND  WEDNESDAY MORNING.
