Many roads connecting villages to the city centers were totally closed across eastern Turkey.
People who live in Erzurum woke up to white blanket covering the city after uninterrupted snowfall hit it and many cities in eastern Turkey.
Snow depth has reached 80 cm (31½ inches) at Erzurum’s main winter ski resort Mount Palandoken and 100 cm (39½ inches) in the ski center of the resort.
According to the Turkish meteorology; snowfall and cold weather will continue to affect the Eastern Anatolia region at least two more days.
Besides Erzurum, other cities such as Ağrı, Kars also have gotten heavy snowfall.
