Kentucky – Near Record Breaking Cold Again Tonight

This follows today’s record-setting lows.

“This isn’t exactly the type of afternoon you’d expect in the final week of July,” says meteorologist Ian Oliver. “High temperatures are near record low values in the low 70s. We’ve got another really cool night ahead – but this one likely won’t break any records like this morning did. Overnight low temperatures will fall back into the middle 50s under partly cloudy skies. The record for Lexington is 51 degrees back in 1965. These below average temperatures will stick with us through the better portion of the extended forecast.”

Thanks to Argiris Diamantis in the Netherlands for this link

“New low temperature records are appearing almost every day now,” says Argiris. “This in what according to NOAA is supposed to be the hottest year ever… If you’re gullible enough to believe that.”
