Big-time snowstorm to hit Rockies, Plains, Upper Midwest

Potential blizzard conditions in some areas – Iowa caucus goers could see snow

“A swath of 6- to 12-inch snowfall with localized areas of 12-18 inches are likely from parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado to portions of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, northwestern Missouri, northern Michigan and southern Minnesota,” according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brett Rathbun.

The major cities and airport hubs of Denver and Minneapolis could be affected by the storm.

People venturing across portions of I-25, 29, 35, 70, 80 and 90 in the central U.S. spanning Monday into Tuesday will want to monitor the progress of the storm as it unfolds.
