HANOI – Unforgiving cold in the north has killed more than 50,000 cattle and poultry, according to newspaper reports. This includes more than 9,000 animals and 43,000 poultry.
At a press conference on Jan 29, 2016, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development announced that the Ministry has recommended support for the people affected by the record cold.
He proposed “the rescheduling of bank loans to households, especially those with livestock and poultry dead.”
