Milwaukee, Green Bay, Madison, all report record snowfalls on December 22.
Milwaukee’s 8 inches of snow broke the previous record for the date set 117 years ago in 1896. Green Bay’s six inches set a new record, and Madison reported 5.9 inches.

Ashland got it worst, hammered by about two feet of snow from Sunday until mid-day Monday. Nearby Brule received 12 inches, while Bayfield had eight inches.
More snow is forecast for today.
The same weather system knocked out power to more than 800,000 customers in Canada and the northern United States.
