Powerful late-season winter storm threatens huge swath of the United States.
The Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington D.C., all are facing snow, ice, even blizzard conditions on Monday.
The wintry mess will then spread across the northern Great Lakes region and into the Northeast later Monday and into Tuesday, according to Weather.com.
Most of northern New England is under winter storm warning into Tuesday – in some areas through Wednesday, with up to 14 inches (35cm) of snow forecast from Western New York to the Maine coast.
Try telling those buried under more than a foot of snow that Wednesday is the first day of spring.
And please ask them which they prefer. Global warming? Or global cooling?
