Tells U.S. Senate: ‘We had both higher temps and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today’.

“A co-founder of Greenpeace told a Senate panel on Tuesday that there is no scientific evidence to back claims that humans are the “dominant cause” of climate change,” reports the Washington Times.

“Patrick Moore, a Canadian ecologist who was a member of Greenpeace from 1971-86, told members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee “there is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years.”

We are living in an unusually cold period

“Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species,” said Moore.

“The fact that we had both higher temperatures and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today fundamentally contradicts the certainty that human-caused CO2 emissions are the main cause of global warming,” Moore continued.

An Ice Age occurred when CO2 was 10 times higher than today

“When modern life evolved over 500 million years ago, CO2 was more than 10 times higher than today, yet life flourished at this time. Then an Ice Age occurred 450 million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher than today.’

“Crumbling. The alarmists are in scamper mode, much like they were when they found out that freon and hairspray had nothing to do with the ozone ‘hole’,” says Burt.  “The bad news is, the Obsolete Media will again likely succeed in keeping the fraud out of the news while they search for another ‘crisis’.”
