Snowfall – Total amounts of 10 to 20 cm (4 to 8 inches) expected evening to overnight Saturday.
An intensifying low pressure system over western Manitoba will track northeastward and spread rain initially into northern Manitoba today. As colder air wraps into this system the rain will change to wet snow tonight and continue to snow through the day on Friday. Generally 10 to 20 cm of snow can be expected, however with temperatures near the freezing mark, there will be some melting of the falling snow. As well, as warmer air is drawn aloft ahead of this system over northeastern Manitoba freezing rain is possible in the Churchill area tonight and Friday morning.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
