According to the Weather Network’s summer outlook, southern Manitoba can expect slightly lower than normal temperatures from now through the end of August.

“You can expect to experience slightly cooler than normal temperatures,” Weather Network meteorologist Monica Vaswani said Tuesday. “I don’t want to say you should be cancelling your summer plans …. But it’s not that bad after such a brutal winter and spring.”

The mean temperature for June in the Winnipeg area is forecast to be about 23 C, with July going up to almost 26 C, and August back down to around 25 C.

Near normal temperatures are expected in the northern part of the province.
